Since Valentine's Day was just a few days ago,
and mk and WeiShan were talking about the origins of Valentine,
it set me thinking, what is valentine's day all about?
What is the purpose of it?
Is it just meant for young couples?
Does it mean that people who are single will be pitiful?
NO, a big no-no to it.
I just went to wiki-wiki for a search.
"Valentine's Day or Saint Valentine's Day is a holiday celebrated on February 14. In the Americas and Europe, it is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other by sending Valentine's cards, presenting flowers, or offering confectionery. The holiday is named after two among the numerous Early Christian martyrs named Valentine. The day became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished."
Overtime, the whole purpose is modified.
Yes, lovers still do express their love to each other by sending cards and such.
Friends now express their love to each other too, on that day.
It has already become a friendship day.
Should we even have friendship days?
Aren't our love for friends be expressed every now and then?
Shouldn't we appreciate whatever our friends have done for us and thank them for that?
Shouldn't we do it everyday, and not just on a particular day?
We should spread love around.
From love, it leads to relationships.
Relationships with friends.
Relationships with families.
Relationships with your partners.
Relationships with your teachers.
Relationships with your schoolmates and so on.
Relationships seem to be more important than many many things.
We can hate a place, the environment, things that you do, because your relationship with so and so is bad.
We can feel the happiness and joy when your relationship with so and so is good.
The list goes on...
Fate has brought friends together.
God has arranged for us to meet.
So, why pretend to be something you're not?
The important thing is: Be true to ourselves, Be true to everyone else.

Play is something you do for more than one purpose.
By studying, we are playing.
As we join a cca, or go to school, we are playing too.
We do not join a cca just for the sake of joining.
We sometimes join to make friends, learn a thing or two from it, get cca points etc.
